أكد عاهل البلاد الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة ''أن ما قام به الرئيس المصري محمد حسني مبارك ليدل دلالة غير قابلة للشك على عزمه وإرادته وجهوده المستمرة لعقد اتفاق المصالحة بين الفلسطينيين بمختلف فصائلهم''. وكان الملك قد التقى في مدينة شرم الشيخ الرئيس المصري محمد حسني مبارك وذلك في إطار المؤتمر الدولي لدعم الاقتصاد الفلسطيني لإعادة إعمار غزة الذي عقد هناك. من جهته، أعلن رئيس مجلس أمناء المؤسسة الخيرية الملكية ورئيس اللجنة الوطنية لمناصرة الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة الشيخ ناصر بن حمد آل خليفة في كلمة وجهها إلى المؤتمر مساهمة مملكة البحرين حكومة وشعبا بمبلغ 23 مليون دولار في برنامج إعمار غزة. وعلى الصعيد ذاته، تعهد المانحون الدوليون في المؤتمر أمس بتقديم 481,4 مليار دولار على مدى عامين لمساعدة الاقتصاد الفلسطيني وإعمار قطاع غزة، لكن المانحين أصروا على تجنب حركة حماس التي تحكم القطاع. [/quicktime]وقدمت دول الخليج العربية والولايات المتحدة واللجنة الأوروبية تعهدات كبيرة بينما تعهدت دول أخرى بينها تركيا وايطاليا وألمانيا والجزائر بمساهمات.[/align]
